The Royal Highland Show is held each year at Ingliston in Edinburgh.
 
The show is part agricultural show, part food festival, part family fun day out. Featuring everything from motor, equine and craft programmes to food and drink and children’s activities.

Paxton House

Paxton House

Paxton House lies at the heart of 80 acres of woodland, parkland and gardens and offers a fantastic selection of walks, wildlife and scenery.

Overlooking the majestic River Tweed, the house was originally landscaped in the 18th century by Robert Robinson and now incorporates a large variety of riverside walks, trails and outdoor attractions for visitors.

John Muir Country Park

John Muir Country Park

The Park is named after John Muir, the explorer, naturalist and conservationist who was born in Dunbar in 1838. He lived here until the age of 11, when the Muir family immigrated to the United States, where they settled in Wisconsin.

John Muir Country Park covers some of the most spectacular East Lothian coastline and is a haven for wildlife and people too. From the Castle Ruins in Dunbar, to the Peffer Burn six kilometres to the north, the Park includes the Cliff Top Trail, with fine views of the sea and the historic Bass Rock; the long sandy sweep of Belhaven Bay; the River Tyne estuary; and extensive areas of grassland, salt-marsh and woodland.

East Links Family Park

East Links Family Park is a 20 acre small farm, which provides a fun and safe environment for families to enjoy a day out. Groups of all ages are catered for and there is also an educational element for those who wish it with animal information boards, quiz sheets and education barn. With more than 60 different activities as well as all the different farm animals to visit there is more than enough to keep you busy all day long.
 
Indoor Play includes Haybarn, Climbing Walls, Soft Play, Ball Blast Arena, Small Animal Barn, Education Barn, Bouncy Castle and Small Trampoline.

The Scottish Seabird Centre

The Scottish Seabird Centre

The Scottish Seabird Centre is a five star, multi award winning, family attraction overlooking the sea at North Berwick, approximately 40 minutes from Pease Bay. Open all year round, it has an exciting discovery centre with live cameras to view puffins, gannets, seals and more. The Seabird Centre also has a kids' playzone and a packed programme of workshops and activities for children and adults to enjoy. There is also a well stocked gift shop.

The Scottish Archery Centre

The Scottish Archery Centre

If you'd like to try something new, The Scottish Archery Centre at Fenton Barns will open by arrangement. Visitors can try archery, crossbow and air rifle, all indoors under supervision and instruction.
